Aromas are extracted flowers, fruits and leaves. Different parts for different essences. Choose – with the help of the instructor – the most suitable for your tastes.
Preparing the workshop
Essential oils, producing the typical scents of citruses, are contained in fruits’ skin and leaves. However, also the pulp will be used to make ponzu, a type of vinegar with a distinctive “Japanese” taste.
Playing some Chemistry
After the skin is soaked in water it will go through the distillation process. It is a relatively simple process, however a practical chance to learn the basic chemical process of distillation, a valuable chance to experience it in first person.
Make your signature aroma
After the process is completed, you will not only have made your unique essential oil, but also, if you wish, make an aromatic balm of a spray lotion.
