Omishima Pottery Experience (No English)

Take a break during your trip and discover your hidden talent! Making pottery will show you this fantastic dimension.

Feel the clay

While having a nice talk with cheerful instructors and learning about with their unique background, you will enjoy shaping the clay feeling just like at home.
It is a self-taught, intuitive pottery shaping using Shigaraki soil.

Shape the clay

Using an electric potter’s wheel doesn’t just happen every day! Use your fingers while imagining the finished product. A tailor made dress for your delicacies.

Why not, you can be original!

Not only tableware, you can freely make vases and decorative pottery.
Even beginners will be able to use their creativity and cast their own creations by shaping the clay.

The shape, and the color

It takes several months to bake the clay,  but those who can come back to the workshop, can also experience painting and decorating their creations. (Included in the experience fee. However, the baking fee will be paid separately.)
If it is difficult to come back, we will finish it and ship it to you. (Shipping fee not included).
