In this lunique experience you will discover every aspects of a local cultivation while you will hear old farmers tales such as “A Shallot with a Fashionable Sound is a Young Scallion.”
This is “Shimanami” vegetables
Here vegetables are cultivated by self-seeding, and grown following the local weather conditions adapting to the climate as the years go by. In this experience, you will harvest vegetables grown from the so called “fixed seeds”, cultivated in the “Shimanami climate”.

Precautions | Precautions ・ Possible in light rain. in case of heavier rain it will be cancelled. ・ Be aware of possible insect bites and injuries. ・ There is no restroom available, including in the neighborhood. ・ It takes about 20 minutes by car from WAKKA to the farm’s location. Please contact us in advance if you would like to move by yourself or take a taxi. (Taxi fee is not included) ・ If you are traveling by bicycle to the experience Omishima routes, consider that the way to the farms is a road recommended for advanced users only.
